Welcome to St. Joseph's Episcopal Church Sunday school.
We acknowledge your commitment and the faith you have placed in us to work with your children on their spiritual journey.
Through our curriculum, the children are exposed to the Word, commit verses of Scripture to memory, and are encouraged to learn words and actions for participation in worship and liturgy. The curriculum is compatible with the Sunday Lectionary, which serves as reinforcement to what they learn in Sunday School class.
The children are encouraged to put into practice on a daily basis what they learn in class. They are made aware of roles and deeds that they can be involved in in the community (for example, in school, on the street, on a bus, etc.) as they try to live a Christian life.
The Sunday School participates fully in the life of the church.
Presentations are often made during church services, especially ...
- At Harvest Thanksgiving - Christmas / Epiphany - Hosting the Annual Easter Egg Hunt - Kids of The Kingdom - Mothers Day / Fathers Day - Black History Month - Annual Picnic / Trip to an Amusement Park - Year-End Awards Presentation
