Vote Faithfully: Episcopalians Engaging in the US Elections
Wednesday, September 18 | 1 PM

Join Presiding Bishop Michael Curry with guests from across the church exploring the meaning behind voting from a theological perspective that centers this civic action as one expression of caring for one another and God’s creation. Our panelists will offer framing for healthy, faith-based civic engagement from the theoretical to the tangible, including addressing why it is important for Episcopal churches to leverage our resources to help our broader communities vote. Come learn how to navigate challenges while remaining focused in our preparations to cast our votes in this fall’s election. Panelists include Michael Bruce Curry, Willie Bennett, Joyce Statz, Amy Coultas and Alan Yarborough. Click here to register:

Beginning in Tennessee, pilgrims will continue over eight days through Mississippi, Alabama, concluding in Georgia. Our time together will expose you to the shapers and keepers of history, including religious and civic leaders, librarians, educators and cultural curators. Traveling during an election year and this tender time in our national life, you will also engage with local and national leaders to learn from history about courage and faithful witness in uncertain times. Throughout the pilgrimage our reflections will center on the truth of two foundational questions: Who am I? and Who does God need me to be right now.

Early Bird Discount: Pre-register by September 15, 2024, for $300 off the trip deposit!

Please join Episcopal Ministries of Long Island for a “Celebration of Ministry” on October 16th as we uplift ministries bringing our faith from pew to public square across our diocese! This annual event is a joyful celebration where we have a chance to connect with friends across the diocese, break bread together, and – perhaps most importantly – see how our faith is coming to life through our support of dozens of vibrant parish ministries. This year's ministry honoree is the Garden and Pantry at St. Peter’s by-the-Sea in Bay Shore. We hope to see you there!
