St. Joseph's Installs New DOK Members
The new D.O.K. Daughters are Norma Byfield, Camylle Haughton, Laurice Higgins and Beverly Nelson, all parishioners at St. Joseph; and Carol Wright, a parishioner at St. Stehen's Episcopal Church, Port Washington, N.Y, The D.O.K. crosses were blessed by Canon Anthony and each daughter was pinned by Daughter Hyacinth, with the assistance of Daughters Schandles McKeithen-Daniels, Chapter Vice President, and Marie Gonel, Chapter Secretary.
Also present at the service were Diocesan President, Mother Julia Sherman, Church of the Nativity, Brooklyn; Diocesan Secretary, Dtr. Marva Denner, Episcopal Church of St. Marks; former Diocesan President, Dtr. Barbara Dennis, St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Dyker Heights; Dtr. Marjorie Rogers, St. Ann's Episcopal Church, Sayville, L.I., who is Chair of Worship and Devotion for the National Council. Also present was Brother Bob Dennis, National President of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew.
After the service, a reception was held in the guild room to fellowship and welcome the newly admitted daughters.
