The following article about the Women's Day Celebration is
The Four Main Thrusts
of the Cultural Committee Are:
1) Mentoring our youth and helping them to hone their talents in the environment of the church.
2) Fundraising for the children of St. Joseph's Parish Day School.
3) To spread the message of the importance of Women's History Month and to support such activities in our community, thus establishing a sisterhood within the church and community and to remind women of faith of their ancestors' relationship with God.
4) Celebrate the cultural mix of the Parish.
Since the year 2000, the Cultural Committee has hosted an annual Women's History Month Celebration. We consistently ensure that the gathering is not only enjoyable but informative and educational as well. We applaud the countless women throughout history whose sacrifice, strength and courage have helped make possible the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today.
We also applaud those women who are at work in this present time to improve our future.
The Cultural Committee also hosts Black History Month Celebrations.
