Celebration of St. Joseph's Feast Day and 149th Anniversary
We celebrated 149 years of St. Joseph’s history and launched a year of celebration towards our sesquicentennial anniversary, which will culminate on April 24, 2020; 150 years to the day that an Episcopal service was first held in a small countryside mission in what we now call Queens Village.
Central to the story of St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church are the ministries and organizations in which our congregants participate, and which have contributed to our mission. St. Joseph's honored three organizations that exemplify the spirit of our patron, St. Joseph the carpenter, and embody our mission of faith, fellowship, and service with the Spirit of St. Joseph's award. For their dedicated service to the underserved, mentorship of youth, and leadership roles within the church and the community, the church honored:
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew, Queens Assembly
The Order of the Daughters of the King, St. Joseph’s Women of Faith Chapter
The Queens Village Lions Club
