Jesus said, "Who Do People Say That I Am?"

Picture
Bishop Provenzano
This was the theme of the message that the Rt. Rev. Lawrence Provenzano, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, preached at the  Confirmation Service at St. Joseph's on Sunday, September 16, 2012.  Four candidates were confirmed and two received.

The Bishop, preaching from Mark 8:27, challenged the confirmands and the congregation to live their lives so that they can be examples to those with whom they are in contact.

Bishop Provenzano assured the congregation that the diocese is in partnership with the congregation and will not allow the Parish Day School to be closed.  The bishop said resources will be made available from the diocese to develop ministry in the parish.
